Types of Therapy
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy can be effective in helping you explore and replace negative beliefs that prevent you from living a present-centered life. I use a combination of mindfulness strategies, EMDR, somatic therapies and parts work.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a unique approach to processing trauma or any situation in which you hold a negative belief about yourself. EMDR combines talking about a difficult situation with some form of bilateral movement or stimulation. EMDR can be effective when traditional talk therapies have not been effective.
Group Therapy
Therapy groups focusing on women's issues such as pregnancy, postpartum issues and chronic health issues can help individuals develop a sense of community and realize they are not alone. Therapy groups are a combination of support and skill building. Groups are scheduled as a need arises.

I am licensed as psychologist in Ohio and Kentucky. I have over 25 years of experience working in various levels of mental health care. I believe that therapy should encompass the total person - mind, body and spirit. When you remain stuck in the same negative beliefs and emotions, talk therapy alone may not be the most effective way to deal with those inner experiences.
